HR to Salary is a free, browser-based set of calculators for converting between hourly pay and salary figures. The project is maintained by the HR to Salary team and is built around one goal: make it fast and clear to see what an hourly rate is worth as a salary, and what a salary is worth as an hourly rate, without creating an account or installing anything.
What We Do
The site provides two-way conversions between hourly pay and salary: start from an hourly rate and see the equivalent annual, monthly, weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly, or daily pay, or start from a salary and work out the hourly rate behind it. Beyond the main salary calculator, there are dedicated pages for more specific situations — after-tax and take-home pay, deductions, overtime, bonuses, contractor and 1099 income, employer-side cost estimates, and country-specific figures — along with salary-tier and hourly-rate reference pages for commonly searched numbers.

How Our Calculators Work
The underlying math is straightforward. For an hourly-to-annual conversion, the formula is: hourly rate × hours per week × weeks per year = annual salary, with monthly, weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly, and daily figures derived from that same annual total. The actual result always depends on the working schedule you enter — hours per week and weeks per year vary by job, so the calculators let you adjust both rather than assuming a fixed 40-hour, 52-week year. Results are gross figures, before taxes and deductions, unless you're using one of the calculators built specifically to account for them.
